Where can I park for this event?
You cannot park on the Spelman campus. However, you are welcome to park in the Morehouse College Parking Deck. It is located directly beside the Spelman campus, and parking is only $8 for the full day.

If I am using a rideshare (e.g Uber, Lyft), where should I go?
You should use the address 350 Spelman Lane S.W. Atlanta, GA 30314-4399. This will take you to the main gate of the college; ride share vehicles are not allowed within the campus gates. The distance from the gate to the symposium building is approximately two short city blocks.

How is Institute for the Psychology of Black Womanhood Scholars associated with the Psychology of Black Womanhood Symposium ?
The Institute for the Psychology of Black Womanhood Scholars (IPBWS) takes place on the Spelman College campus the day following the Psychology of Black Womanhood Symposium. While not directly associated with each other, we encourage advanced doctoral students, and early career and mid career scholars to attend both of these events! An application and acceptance is required for acceptance to the institute. For more information about the IPBWS click here.

What food will be available at the event?
Food Trucks will be available for the purchasing of food the day of the event. The Spelman College’s food services will be available for all attendees. The main options are located in the same building the symposium is being held, including the Alma Upshaw Cafe and the Manley Lower Food Hall (e.g. Ace Sushi, Nom Station, Twisted Taco and Starbucks).

Seats have been set aside specifically for Spelman College students, faculty and staff. Select this appropriate option of the two available when registering. You must use your Spelman email address to secure one of these seats.
